Before the Workshop: Your 15-Minute LinkedIn Setup

Please complete these three steps before attending. If you already have an account please check you can log on, you can reset your password if you need to!

Step 1: Create Your LinkedIn Account

  • Visit LinkedIn
  • Create your account using your preferred email address
  • Verify your email
  • Download the LinkedIn app if you would like to use it on your phone

Don't worry about making it perfect yet.

The goal is simply to have an active account ready for the workshop.

Step 2: Add a Profile Photo

Choose a clear, friendly photograph where people can easily recognise you.

This does not need to be a professional photoshoot.

A simple head-and-shoulders image is perfect.

Avoid:

  • Group photographs
  • Sunglasses
  • Horse-only photographs
  • Logos

Remember: people connect with people.

Step 3: Write One Sentence About Yourself

Don't overthink this.

Simply answer:

What do you do and who do you help?

Examples:

"I am a dressage coach helping riders develop confidence, connection and understanding."

"I support horse owners and riders through positive training and coaching."

"I help riders enjoy their horses and achieve their personal goals."

Bring this sentence to the workshop.

We'll use it to build your profile together.
